FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: signal vector in a coefficient domain is divided into a signal vector in the coefficient domain, having a constant number of higher order ambiophonic sound (hereinafter – HOA) coefficients, and a signal vector in the coefficient domain, having an alternating number of HOA coefficients. The vector having the constant number of HOA coefficients is converted into a corresponding signal vector in a spatial domain. The signal vector having the alternating number of HOA coefficients in the coefficient domain is adaptively normalized and multiplexed with the signal vector in the spatial domain.
EFFECT: provision of a possibility of the formation from a representation in a domain of mixed representation coefficients in a spatial domain/coefficient domain, in which a number of HOA signals can be variable.
