METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF RETINAL DETACHMENT Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61F9/07 

FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: subtotal vitrectomy is carried out, a chandelier is installed, the vitreous body is painted with the separation of posterior hyaloid membrane from the retina, a perfluoroorganic compound (hereinafter – PFOC) is introduced, subretinal fluid is drained, the retina is subjected to endo-laser coagulation, the vitreal cavity is tamponed with one of substitutes of the vitreous body. When carrying out vitrectomy, preciliary departments of the vitreous body are additionally removed, subretinal fluid drainage is carried out at a boundary PFOC/air. Endo-laser coagulation of the retina is carried out in PFOC medium, and sterile air is used as tamponing substance.

EFFECT: method allows for the provision of safe surgical treatment of retinal detachment with minimum traumatism, reduction in a number of postoperative complications, increase in conditions for reliable adaptation of the retina, preserving anatomic-topographic relations in the eye.
