SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of monitoring the working condition of a sensor. Method includes the steps of inspecting the data quality and blocking the generation of alerts using machine learning methods, providing the possibility of determining whether the two emergency situations generated by the equipment monitoring system are connected. The method may include the step of receiving data characterising the measurement data received by the sensor connected with process equipment. The emergency data sample in the received data may be identified and deleted from the emergency data sample. A new sample of the deleted data sample may be calculated using interpolation, wherein the new sample may be estimated. Maintenance may be analysed on the basis of the estimated new calculated sample.

EFFECT: monitoring of the working condition of a sensor for the purpose of preventing incorrect diagnostics of the condition of the equipment.
