FIELD: separation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for insertion between a lower layer and an upper layer of particles located inside a cylindrical shell in such a way to limit or prevent particle movement between layers. It can be used in a reactor, adsorber, or, in a more general sense, in any storage container, in which it is needed that different particle layers are perfectly separated, while leaving the possibility for free circulation of fluid. The specified device contains a ring of fabric, having: cells, an equivalent diameter of which is less than an equivalent diameter of particles; a length equal to an inner perimeter of a base of the cylindrical shell; an upper part with an upper end intended for the attachment along its entire length to an inner wall of the cylindrical shell; and a lower part containing at least six identical large folds, while each fold is formed by two edges, which are connected at one point, and folds are separated from each other in such a way that the lower part is essentially perpendicular to the upper part, when large folds are in a folded position.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simultaneously achieve complete sealing, even in an inner wall of a cylindrical shell, constant contact between an upper layer and a lower layer of particles by means of the specified device, even in case of shrinkage of this lower layer, good distribution along the entire cross-section of fluids circulating through layers, and, at the same time, it is simple and fast-to-implement.
