FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of treatment of wastewater of an industrial process of propylene oxide production. Treatment of wastewater is carried out by catalytic wet oxidation, in which a flow containing wastewater is supplied to a reactor, the flow containing wastewater is treated by oxidation in the presence of oxygen and a catalyst containing porous carbon balls doped with metal nanoparticles. At least part of the treated flow is transferred to a separator, where the treated flow is separated into a gas flow and a liquid flow, and part of the liquid flow is recirculated to the reactor.
EFFECT: invention allows for the development of a simple and effective method for purification under milder conditions with reduction in chemical oxygen demand (COD) in absolute and percentage terms.
