FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polymer composition containing polyester-composite polyester copolymer, a catalyst based on transitional metal, and active material, which impacts on moisture, interacts or reacts with it, wherein the specified active material is a desiccant selected from a group consisting of molecular sieves, silicic acid gel, and mixtures thereof, wherein polyester-composite polyester copolymer contains segments of polyester, wherein at least one segment of polyester includes at least one polytetramethylene oxide segment; segments of composite polyester, bridging elements having a structure -CO-R2-CO-, where R2 is an optionally substituted divalent hydrocarbon residue containing a benzene aromatic system; one or two terminal groups R1-O-(C2-C4-O-)e-*, where R1 is methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, isopropyl, n-butyl, isobutyl, second-butyl, tert-butyl, n-pentyl, isopentyl, second-pentyl, neopentyl, 1,2-dimethylpropyl, isoamyl, n-hexyl, second-hexyl, n-heptyl, n-octyl, 2-ethylhexyl, n-nonyl, n-decyl, tridecyl, isotridecyl, tetradecyl, hexadecyl, octadecyl, methylphenyl, cyclopropyl, cyclobutyl, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl, cycloheptyl, cyclooctyl, cyclononyl, or cyclodecyl, and e is an integer in the range from 0 to 1000. The invention also concerns the use of a polymer composition, as well as industrial products containing a polymer composition, capable of removing oxygen or performing a function of an active oxygen barrier.
EFFECT: invention provides fine-tuning of a reaction rate of oxygen acceptance to a desired reduced level and maintenance of this level for an expected period, which allows the invention to be used in packaging of electronic equipment, personal hygiene products, household, industrial, food and drinking products, which require high barrier characteristics relatively to oxygen to preserve freshness and quality of the content of the package.
