SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an oxygen-absorbing composition for containers. Oxygen-absorbing composition for containers includes at least one polyester-based component, a transition metal-based catalyst, an oxygen absorber and vegetable oil. Vegetable oil contains at least one molecule having a double allyl structure. Polyester-based component contains at least one acid link and at least one diol link. Concentration of double allylic structures of vegetable oil in the composition is more than 5.0 mg-eq/kg of all components based on polyester. Vegetable oil is present in the composition at a level of more than 0.3 % by weight relative to the total weight of the polyester components, the transition metal catalyst and the vegetable oil.
EFFECT: improved characteristics of active oxygen absorption.
