FIELD: engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the operation of machines, in particular, to the use of motor oil in internal combustion engines. Proposed is a method for increasing the effectiveness of using working motor oils, consisting in maintaining the stability of physical and chemical properties of the motor oil, and including metered supply of functional additives to the motor oil, with account for the temperature of the motor oil, viscosity, pressure in the lubrication system, and colloidal structure of the additives, purifying the motor oil prior to the supply thereof to the engine by removing impurities from the motor oil by a centrifugal oil filter with adjustable speed, driven by an electric engine, and maintaining the temperature of the motor oil in the temperature range from 20 to 95°C through the accumulated heat in the phase transition heat accumulator.

EFFECT: provided high degree of purification of motor oil from mechanical impurities, service life of motor oil being extended by 1.5 to 2 times, oil consumption being reduced by 10 to 15%, and increase in the resource of the engine due to the reduction of wear by 2 to 7 times and prevented starting of the engine in the mode of dry friction, oil starvation, and pressure drop on the filters of the oil system.
