FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: automated unit for testing motor oils under various operating modes of a diesel engine contains four-cylinder diesel engine 1 with lubrication system 2 and cooling jacket 3, to which a coolant circulation circuit is connected, which includes an external open circuit for supplying water through controlled valve 6 to liquid heat exchanger 7. Operation of the cooling system is controlled by control unit 12. In lubrication system 2, there is closed-type water-oil heat exchanger 15 with inlet 16 and outlet 17 channels through coil 18. To maintain constant fuel combustion process, module 23 contains air filter 24, duct air dryer 25, humidity sensor 26, air supply regulator 27 and mass air flow meter 28. To ensure stable operation of mass air flow meter 28, the air supply system is equipped with two damping devices 29, 30 connected in parallel and in series. To maintain a constant air temperature during testing, intercooler 34 is installed, located in water tank 36.

EFFECT: increasing accuracy and reliability of assessing the performance properties of diesel engine oils under various engine operating modes and conditions close to the actual operating conditions of engine oils in technology.
