METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT IN COMPLETE ASYMMETRIC AND TRANSVERSE VAGINAL SEPTUM WITH ABNORMAL OUTFLOW OF MENSTRUAL BLOOD USING RESECTOSCOPY Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B17/42

Abstract RU 2778781 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to obstetrics and gynaecology. Under aseptic conditions, a silicone cup is inserted into the vagina, wherein a hole is made at the top of said cup, the diameter of the hole corresponding to the diameter of the mono- or bipolar resectoscope; the wide part of the cup in a folded state is passed behind the hymenal ring and unfolded, creating the effect of sealing the vagina during the examination. The resectoscope is inserted into the vagina through the hole in the bottom of the silicone cup. The complete asymmetric transverse septum is dissected under ultrasound monitoring, using an L-shaped electrode, by making a longitudinal section in the protruding part. The location of the cervix is determined; in case of uterus didelphys, the location of the cervix and the location thereof relative to the second cervix are determined. The septum is excised with the curved loop of the resectoscope in a mono- or bipolar mode until the blind recesses of the combined vagina are fully reduced. Haemostasis of the wall section is performed using a ball electrode of the resectoscope; haemostasis is monitored after the intra-vaginal pressure is reduced in the working environment; additionally, a wad with a Haemoblock solution without tight swabbing is placed in the cavity of the combined vagina at the end of the operation.

EFFECT: method allows for surgical treatment using endoscopic technologies, minimises intraoperative blood loss, accelerating the postoperative rehabilitation and preserving the integrity of the hymen.
