DEVICE FOR FIXING AND POSITIONING CELL CULTURES UNDER PRECISION IRRADIATION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61K38/00

Abstract RU 2778859 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: device for fixing and positioning cell cultures under precision irradiation belongs to neuro-oncology and can be used to increase the effectiveness and individual approach during stereotactic radiation therapy. The device contains a tablet for cell culture cultivation and is made in the form of two spheres: external and internal. The spheres are located one in another and are separated by an internal space filled with balls, sealed with silicone corrugation of a closed section. The inner sphere of a smaller diameter is made in the form of a non-collapsible closed structure with a rectangular recess for the installation of a tablet for the cultivation of cell cultures. The lower third of the inner sphere has a solid cross-section. The upper two-thirds of the inner sphere are hollow, containing a hole at the top point for filling with water. The outer sphere of a larger diameter is made in the form of a collapsible hollow structure with a rectangular hole for the installation of a tablet for the cultivation of cell cultures. The tablet is made of polystyrene in the form of holes.

EFFECT: device provides a reduction in the traumatization of tumor cell culture, their reliable fixation during irradiation and provides a verified approach to the selection of total radiation doses for a particular patient, providing the best tumoricidal effect in patients with malignant brain tumors.
