SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of braking of rail vehicles. In particular, the object of the invention is a friction assembly (1) for a disk brake system of a rail vehicle, wherein said friction assembly (1) comprises a brake shoe (3) on one side, having an upper side (31) with a receiving link (5) and a lower side (32); and at least one brake shoe (2) on the other side, made of a friction material, containing a first friction side (21) and a second side (22) with a profile (4) configured to interact with the receiving link (5); wherein the brake shoe (2) comprises at least one channel (28) establishing a tight communication between the first space (E1) framed by the first side (21) and the second space (E2) framed by said second side (22); wherein the friction assembly (1) additionally comprises at least one through hole (38) with a central axis A, made in the brake shoe holder (3) and located opposite said at least one channel (28). The friction assembly (1) comprises a return mechanism (90) configured to press said at least one connecting sleeve (8) against said profile (4).
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of capturing particles of the material, released during braking.
