SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a friction unit (16) for a rail brake disc system (12) of a railway rolling stock (10) containing a pad holder (3) containing a receiving yoke (4), a friction pad (22) containing a friction pad (7) and a profile (6) made with the possibility of sliding into the receiving yoke (4), while the friction pad (22) contains a pneumatic channel (9) connecting the first space (E1) bounded by the first side (71) friction pads (22), and the second space (E2), bounded by the second opposite side (72) of the friction pad (22), at least one through hole (38) made in the holder (3) of the pad so as to be located opposite the pneumatic channel (9), and a pneumatic connecting sleeve (8) located in the pneumatic channel (9) and forming an air duct between the through hole (38) of the holder (3) of the pad and the pneumatic channel (9) of the friction pad (22).
EFFECT: more efficient capture of particles coming off the friction lining of the friction pad during the braking cycle, easily integrated into the structure of railway rolling stock.
