SUBSTANCE: invention relates to motor vehicle drive axle housing. The crankcase is made of cast iron and contains a housing 1 united in a single casting for accommodating the main gear, left and right casings 2 and 3, an upper platform 4 for the suspension arm and platforms 5 and 6 for attaching suspension elements, flanges for installing brake mechanisms 7 and 8, back cover 9. The back cover 9 has an oil pocket 10 and a cup 11 to accommodate the output shaft bearings. The glass 11 is combined with the oil pocket 10 by a common cavity 14 and has common through holes 12 with it.
EFFECT: design simplification.
