FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and is intended for laser treatment of advanced open-angle glaucoma. Laser activation of sclera hydropermeability is performed by means of transscleral applications in the projection of the ciliary body with an erbium laser with a wavelength of 1.56 mcm in a quasi-continuous mode. Exposure is carried out at a power density of 2.8 to 3.0 W/mm2. At the same time, 40-50 appliques are applied in two rows in a checkerboard pattern at a distance from the limbus, respectively, 2.5 and 3.5 mm for 3 seconds for each applique twice with a break of 5 seconds, with a distance between appliques of 1.5 mm.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to effectively reduce intraocular pressure in a gentle mode in patients with stage III B-C glaucoma.
