FIELD: seismology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of seismology and can be used to determine the probability of an earthquake. Substance: values of the H component of the vector of magnetic induction of the magnetic field are measured, processed and analysed. Based on the results of the analysis, linear structures are identified wherefor several guiding points in the form of main extrema and boundary points of local trends are located along said structures. The probability of an earthquake is determined by the occurrence of time-linear boundaries for the entropy variations in the system and/or by the occurrence of one-sided time-linear boundaries for the level of entropy in the system. In order to confirm the accuracy of the probability of an earthquake, the level of noise of bees inside a hive is measured simultaneously with conducting a similar analysis of the measurement results, identifying similar graphic precursors of an earthquake.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the probability of an earthquake.
