SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of dental care products and pertains to a product for removing mineralised deposits on the tooth surface and to a method for using such a product. Proposed accelerator for removing mineralised deposits on the tooth surface for scaling calculus (SC) and/or root planing (RP) constitutes a composition in a paste- or gel-like state, containing: a subacidic hypochlorite solution with an effective chlorine concentration of 100 to 2,000 pts.wt./mln. and a pH of 3.0 to 6.5; and a viscosity-regulating substance containing a water-insoluble inorganic powder with an average primary particle diameter from 5 nm or more to 100 nm or less. Also proposed is a method for brushing teeth, including bringing the above accelerator for removing mineralised deposits on the tooth surface into contact with the object subject to treatment, and then scaling the calculus and/or planing the roots.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions effectively removes mineralised deposits on the tooth surface.
