SUBSTANCE: muzzle nozzle is made in the form of a sleeve with a central hole, at one end of which there is a section with an internal thread for screwing onto the mating threaded part of the barrel, and a smooth hole is made at the other end of the said hole. A method is proposed for using a choke nozzle, in which, to protect the thread of the barrel, the choke nozzle, turning it with the threaded part of the nozzle back, is screwed up to the stop so that the part of the nozzle with a smooth inner hole completely covers the entire threaded part of the barrel, and to attach the muzzle device, the choke nozzle, turning over, install the threaded part of the nozzle forward, leaving most of the threaded section of the barrel open. The muzzle device is screwed onto the open threaded section of the barrel either until it stops at the end of the barrel, or to a selected position that determines the greatest efficiency of the muzzle device, after which the muzzle nozzle is turned in the unscrewing direction until it contacts the muzzle device and a final tightening is performed using the muzzle nozzle as a fixing element.

EFFECT: improving the operational characteristics of small arms, ensuring the protection of the threaded section of the barrel from damage during the operation of weapons without a muzzle device.
