FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a product selected from a group of food products and beverages. The specified product additionally contains a composition containing one or several taste-modulating compounds. The amount of one or more taste-modulating compounds in the product is from 1 to 200 ppm. The invention also relates to a method for improvement of perception of a sweet taste, salt taste, umami taste, tartness, salivation, and/or bitterness in food products or beverages, including provision of a food product or a beverage and addition of the above-mentioned composition to the food product or the beverage.
EFFECT: inventions are aimed at provision of modulation of food perception of a product, while they do not demonstrate any tangible taste and aromatic properties.
