FIELD: engineering elements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composite worn component with a hierarchical structure, produced by casting and exhibiting high resistance to combined wear loads/impact loads, and to a method for production thereof. Composite worn component with a hierarchical structure comprises reinforcement in the most wear-prone part. The reinforcement comprises a three-dimensionally linked network of periodically alternating millimetre metal-ceramic composite granules with millimetre gaps, wherein said metal-ceramic composite granules contain at least 52 vol.% micrometre particles of titanium carbide embedded in a first metal matrix. The three-dimensionally linked network of metal-ceramic composite granules with the millimetre gaps is therein embedded in a second metal matrix, wherein the first metal matrix differs from the second metal matrix containing a cast iron alloy.
EFFECT: best wear resistance and mechanical properties of the part are ensured, as well as safety during production.
