FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: contaminated circulating water of a mineral processing plant is directed to a distributor mixer and is therein mixed with partially mineralised water, directed to the left or right sludge line with a hanging acoustic module used to perform hydroacoustic coagulation of sludge particles. Then the recycled water is discharged into the tailings dump through dispersed outlets oriented at an angle of 60 degrees upwards, and through concentrated outlets equipped with a flexible abrasion-resistant branch pipe, the axis whereof is periodically changed by at least 30 degrees. Hydroacoustic coagulation and hydroacoustic sedimentation of sludge particles, as well as hydroacoustic compaction of the sediment are conducted in the tailings dump using floating acoustic modules. Fresh water from a natural surface stream is introduced into the pre-clarified circulation water in the water intake area, followed by performing final clarification of the circulation water and periodically removing the compacted sediment.
EFFECT: effective purification of circulation water from sludge particles, effective compaction of sediment in the tailings dump, effective compaction of bodies of the bund walls of the tailings dump, with the ensured high reliability of the method.
