FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry, in particular to methods for assessing the environmental safety of salons, cabins and habitable compartments of vehicles. During the tests, the vehicle is installed in the test box, the content of at least one controlled harmful substance is decreased to a level of no more than 0.5 of the maximum permissible concentration (MPC). The vehicle is kept in the box until the temperatures of the vehicle, the air in its interior and the air in the box are completely equalized, the cabin is depressurized, the content of at least one controlled explosive in the air of the cabin and the box is equalized to a level of no more than 0.5 MPC, after which the interior is sealed. At least one controlled explosive is fed into the air of the box to the level set by the test program, not exceeding its 10.0 MPC, then at least one controlled explosive is stopped being fed into the air of the box, the content of controlled explosives in the air of the box and the interior is equalized. In accordance with the test program, a vehicle power plant is started in neutral gear, and/or a ventilation or air conditioning system with a cabin filter, and/or an additional and/or autonomous interior air purification system, as well as means of measuring the content in the air of the interior and the box of at least one controlled explosive, with the help of which the quantitative content of at least one controlled explosive is discretely or continuously measured during the time period provided for in the test program, or after the content in the interior air is reached, according to the results of the tests, the environmental safety of the interior air is assessed by comparing the final measured value of the content of at least one controlled explosive in the air with the value of its MPC.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and objectivity of the assessment of the environmental safety of the interior of the vehicle is achieved.
