FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: temperature detectors are mounted onto internal and external surfaces of fencing structures of cabin. Heat loss coefficients of the structures are determined at moderate negative temperatures. Then cabins are subject to heat testing when transportation vehicle is in motion corresponding to requirements of standards excluding environmental temperature that should be 10-20 degrees higher than standard one. Mathematical thermal model of cabin is developed and cabin is subject to testing on base of results of transportation testing. Then thermal conditions inside cabin of transportation vehicle are found by calculation by using heat loss coefficients while taking characteristics of heating system into account at motion of transportation vehicle for any value of standard negative environmental temperature.
EFFECT: significant reduction in cost of testing.
