FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry, in particular to methods for measuring and assessing the environmental safety of interiors, cabs and inhabited compartments of vehicles. In bench conditions, the content of explosives in the cabin of a stationary vehicle under test is measured with an increase in indoor air pollution. When conducting tests, first the vehicle interior is depressurized, then the same, minimum and safe content of at least one explosive controlled by measuring means is set in the air of the cab and the interior, in magnitude below its normative maximum permissible concentration (MPC), after which the saloon is sealed and the content of at least one controlled explosive in the air of the room is increased to the level more than 1.5 times exceeding the value of its MPC, but no higher than 10-12 MPC. During the period of indoor air pollution, depending on the type of tests specified by the test program, the quantitative and/or mass content of at least one explosive is measured both indoors and in the interior. Based on the results of the measurements carried out during the period of increasing the level of indoor air pollution, the level of reduction of air pollution by harmful substances in the vehicle cab is measured and assessed using one or more technical and/ or technological solutions.

EFFECT: objective assessment and a multiple increase in the accuracy of measuring the level of environmental safety of the vehicle interior is achieved, including when using technical and technological solutions.
