FIELD: meteorology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatuses for measuring meteorological parameters: speed and direction of wind, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure. Substance: the ultrasonic anemometer comprises ultrasonic transceivers (4), a temperature sensor, a relative humidity sensor, an atmospheric pressure sensor, an electromagnetic compass, an accelerometer, an angular velocity sensor, an information processing apparatus, and an information transmission apparatus. The ultrasonic anemometer is made in the form of a weather vane with a folding polyplane tail (5) and is installed in a vertical hinge (1). A wireless induction charging apparatus is also installed in the vertical hinge (1), ensuring contact-free transmission of electric power to the movable part of the weather vane. The vertical hinge (1) therein allows the weather vane to rotate in a horizontal plane and a vertical plane.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of the measured parameters due to the improvement in the oscillation damping characteristics when installing the weather vane “downwind"; increase in the strength and rigidity of the entire structure, and the tail in particular; increase in the security of the joint of the rotation hinge with the weather vane and mutual centre adjustment thereof; reduction in the overall dimensions in the transportation and operating conditions; increase in the operating time due to the ensured electric power transmission via an induction wireless charging apparatus located in the body of the vertical hinge.
