FIELD: chemical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemical engineering, namely to a device for burning ammonia, which can be used in thermal engineering devices for generating heat and in devices for decomposing ammonia into a nitrogen-hydrogen mixture. The device for burning ammonia contains a cylindrical combustion chamber, a device for supplying an air-ammonia mixture, including at least one main annular channel for its supply, at the outlet of which a tangential swirl is installed, a spark plug installed in a cylindrical combustion chamber, an annular channel for supplying auxiliary fuel with increased flammability. The device is additionally equipped with an axial swirler, a flame sensor, a catalytic unit, an annular channel for secondary air supply and a flame stabilizer, as well as a cylindrical body inside which a cylindrical combustion chamber is located and coaxially with it, an annular channel for supplying auxiliary fuel with increased flammability is located between the entrance to the cylindrical combustion chamber of the main annular channel with a tangential swirler and annular secondary air supply channel, the annular secondary air supply channel is made in the inter-tube space, at the outlet of which an axial swirl is installed. At least one through hole is made on the cylindrical side surfaces of the body and the combustion chamber for installing a spark plug, the cylindrical combustion chamber is cooled, and a catalytic unit is installed at its outlet.
EFFECT: increase in the environmental parameters of the burner, the reliability of its operation and safety.
