FIELD: combustion processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the fields where the processes of mixture formation and burning of "lean" mixtures of liquid or gaseous fuels and air occur. The substance of the invention consists in the fact that the high quality of the "lean" mixture of gaseous or liquid fuel and air is provided due to the two-stage pre-mixing thereof: jet mixing of the components and additional passing of the resulting mixture through a permeable element; a preliminarily prepared high-quality "lean" mixture of the main gaseous or liquid fuel and air is burned in the main circulation area, maintaining the concentration of fuel therein significantly less than the lower concentration limit of flame propagation, and the combustion stability of the "lean" mixture is provided by the heat of the additional circulation area wherein the pilot gaseous fuel is burned by diffusion. The relative consumption of pilot gaseous fuel, defined as the ratio of the consumption of pilot gaseous fuel to the sum of consumptions of pilot gaseous fuel and the main gaseous or liquid fuel, is therein reduced with an increase in the initial temperature of the "lean" mixture regardless of the consumption of the main gaseous fuel or liquid fuel; film cooling of the output end of the hollow conical stabiliser of the pilot circuit of the burner is applied using the cooling resource of auxiliary air, as well as liquid and pilot gaseous fuel; installed is a porous plate, onto the surface whereof copper or platinum catalysts are applied, and other technical solutions.

EFFECT: reduction in the emission of nitrogen oxides, conservation of fuel, increase in the operating life of the burner, prevented soot deposition at the base of a truncated hollow cone.
