FIELD: railway track superstructure maintenance.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to the field of maintenance of the superstructure of a railway track, in particular to methods for restoring frame and point rails of types P50 and P65. The method consists in determining the rail surface restoration zones, their pre-machining and arc surfacing followed by machining. In the restoration zone, the rail is bent with the rail fixed at the ends of the zone. The bend height is chosen depending on the length of the recovery zone and the thickness of the deposited metal layer. After bending, the recovery zone is heated to a temperature of 380-550°C. Surfacing is performed at a temperature of 380-450°C. The ends of the zone are freed from fixing upon completion of the surfacing.
EFFECT: deviation from the straightness of the rails is minimized.
