SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of coal combine control technologies, in particular, to a method for automatic control of the coal combine speed based on the degree of coal face collapse. According to the method, using an image recognition unit, features are extracted into a feature vector that reflects the degree of collapse of the coal face in the image, in order to perform an operational assessment of the degree of collapse of the coal face. Also, a current adjustment instruction for the coal shearer is generated based on the result of the operational evaluation, which is transmitted to the on-board control unit of the coal shearer, to automatically adjust the running speed of the coal shearer. Based on the degree of collapse of the coal face of the present invention, the running speed of the coal miner is automatically adjusted based on the degree of collapse of the coal face, and if the degree of collapse of the coal face is relatively large, the running speed is reduced to reduce the amount of coal mined on the roller.

EFFECT: invention mitigates the unexpected change in the load of the scraper due to the collapse of the coal face, increases the service life of the drive motor, reduces the instability of the electrical network in the mining area, and ensures the safety of production in the entire complex-mechanized coal face.
