FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to variable-rigidity exoskeletons. Exoskeleton comprises a support frame with joints, secured wherein are support racks consisting of hip, knee, and ankle links; a control system; and an actuator. The support racks of the exoskeleton are configured to transition from the state of maximum rigidity to the state of maximum flexibility and back, and include a set of segment elements connected by a band, an electric drive, and a thrust bearing. Each support rack constitutes a segmented structure consisting of segmental elements made of a composite material and connected by joints. Each segmental element constitutes a cylindrical part with a through hole, wherein the band consisting of threads configured to twist and untwist is passed through said part. The cylindrical part has a conical head on the one side and an internal conical groove for placing the conical head of the next segmental element, i.e., for articulation of adjacent segmental elements, on the other side. The electric drive is configured to twist and untwist the band. The knee link is made in the form of attachment to the leg of the wearer.
EFFECT: possibility of lowering the load on the muscles and skeleton of a person while ensuring the high mobility of the exoskeleton is provided.
