SUBSTANCE: technical result is achieved due to the reference system for selecting a medicinal product, containing a central information collection and processing unit (CBSOI), a tool for generating a user request to search for a medicinal product, an internal database represented by a set of databases, an external database, and a user apparatus. The CBSOI contains a digital data storage and/or retrieval tool and a data exchange subsystem containing, in turn, a data exchange tool and a control system for at least one internal database. The tool for generating a user request to search for a medicinal product contains a user request data input and user request report output unit, a user request processing subsystem, and a control system for at least one external database. The user request data input and user request report output unit contains user request input sub-units, each of said sub-units being responsible for a certain parameter of the medicinal product.
EFFECT: increase in the security of in-system data exchange due to the introduction of the internal and external databases protected from direct mutual data exchange during the search for pharmaceutical products.
