SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the production of fiberboards. The method for the production of fiberboards includes following stages: a) crushing of wood into wood chips, b) hydrothermal pre-processing of wood chips with steam in a container for preliminary steaming at a temperature from 100 to 180°C and pressure from 1 to 10 bars, c) grinding of pre-processed wood chips into fine-dispersed wood particles in a refiner in the presence of steam at a temperature from 150 to 200°C and pressure from 4.5 to 16 bars, d) gluing and drying of fine-dispersed wood particles, where drying of wood particles can also be carried out before gluing, e) formation of mats from bound fibers, and preliminary compaction of mats, f) pressing of glued and dried wood particles at a temperature from 170 to 240°C into fiberboards. At least one of stages d)-e) is carried out in the presence of one or a set of surfactants.
EFFECT: hydrophobicity of the surface of chipboards is increased.
