FIELD: woodworking industry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to woodworking industry, in particular, to production of boards based on wood-based material. Wood chips are produced from suitable wood. Performing heat treatment of at least part of wood chips at temperature of 150 °C to 300 °C for a period of time from 1 hour to 5 hours. Thermal non-treated wood chips and at least a portion of thermally treated wood chips are crushed by cutting to obtain wood chips or by separating fibers to produce wood fibers. Wood chips or wood fibers are glued by means of at least one binder. Glued wood shavings are distributed on the conveyor belt to form a multilayer chip carpet or glued wood fibers on the conveyor belt to form a single-layer fibrous carpet. Comprising a chip carpet or a fibrous carpet to produce a plate based on wood-based material.

EFFECT: reduced release of volatile organic compounds from the obtained plates.
