SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine. The device for ventral distraction of the vertebral bodies consists of two jaws that can be extended in one plane, a fixation mechanism made in the form of a fixing screw, and an extension mechanism. The branches are C-shaped and curved in a horizontal plane. The only plane for expanding the branches is the frontal. The distal ends of the branches are presented in the form of working platforms intended for contact with the endplates of the vertebral bodies. On the outer surfaces of the working platforms, a groove is made transverse, relative to the horizontal axis of the tool, in the form of a groove. A drop-shaped notch is formed over the entire inner surface from the proximal end to the working platforms of both branches. Devices located at the proximal ends of both branches are additionally introduced into the extension mechanism, and are made in the form of two through non-aligned holes with an internal thread, intended for a sliding screw having a thread corresponding to these holes. The locking screw of the locking mechanism is located at the proximal end of the device.
EFFECT: invention provides expanding the functionality and improving the usability of the device by reliable and dosed dilution of the vertebral bodies and their fixation located adjacent or through one level, which makes it possible to more safely perform a discectomy and remove a herniated disc, if necessary, perform a corpectomy and install an implant on the operated patient. level with its versatility for both left-sided and right-sided access, an additional increase in the surgical viewing window.
