SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, in particular to a method for control of an electrically heated aerosol generating system. The electrically heated aerosol generating system contains a charger including a rechargeable power source and an electrically heated aerosol generating device made with the possibility of accommodation of aerosol generating substrate, containing a rechargeable power source and at least one electrical heating element. This method includes control of an ambient temperature near the charger, determination of charging current for charging of the rechargeable power source of the charger, depending on the ambient temperature, and charging of the rechargeable power source of the charger at determined charging current.
EFFECT: optimization of charging parameters of a rechargeable power source.
