SUBSTANCE: described is an aerosol generating system comprising an electrical aerosol-generating element (102), a first electrochemical power storage device (EESD, charging battery 106, first battery 126), configured to supply electric power to aerosol-generating element (102), and an EESD temperature control system comprising at least one temperature sensor (200, 210), arranged to measure temperature of first EESD (106, 126), and electric heater (140, 144) configured to heat first EESD (106, 126), wherein EESD temperature control system controls electric heater (140, 144), for example, by means of microcontrollers (142, 146) depending on the output signal of said at least one temperature sensor (200, 210).

EFFECT: due to application of electric heater (140, 144) for first EESD (106, 126), system is able to provide the required electric power supply to aerosol-generating element (102) in a variety of ambient conditions.
