SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine tool engineering and can be used in the drive for supplying the working body of heavy large-sized metal-cutting machines for processing large-sized and long-length parts. The supply drive comprises a body, wherein an engine and a linear actuator are rigidly secured, a helical rack configured to be installed on the frame of the machine, a first and second helical gears engaged with said rack, and a circular sensor of motion of the working body of the machine, wherein the output rod of the linear actuator is connected with the shaft of the second gear, configured to rotate relative to the axis of the rod. The drive is therein equipped with an engine control unit with a motion setter of the working body of the machine connected thereto and a linear actuator control unit with a "first gear - circular motion sensor" transmission error programmer connected thereto.

EFFECT: use of the invention increases the accuracy of operation of the supply drive.
