FIELD: chemical processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of base oil by processing hydrocarbon raw materials with a content of sulphur up to 150 mg/kg and nitrogen up to 10 mg/kg using a catalytic system including the following layers of catalysts in the direction of movement of the raw materials: a protective layer catalyst, an isodewaxing catalyst, and a hydrofinishing catalyst. The protective layer catalyst contains, wt.%: platinum 0.1 to 1.0, palladium 0.1 to 1.0, a carrier containing: aluminosilicate with a content of silicon oxide 10 wt.% or less, or titanium oxide 1 to 60, and aluminium oxide 40 to 99 - the rest. The isodewaxing catalyst contains, wt.%: platinum and/or palladium 0.1 to 1.0, a carrier containing: zeolite of the MTT structure 20 to 80, magnesium oxide 0.5 to 15, and aluminium oxide 5 to 79.5 - the rest. The hydrofinishing catalyst contains, wt.%: platinum and/or palladium 0.1 to 1.0, a carrier containing: aluminosilicate with a content of silicon oxide 10 to 70 wt.% 10 to 80, and aluminum oxide 20 to 90 - the rest. The process is conducted loading the protective layer and isodewaxing catalysts in a first catalytic zone at a volume ratio thereof from 1:4.5 to 1:32, and the hydrofinishing catalyst in a second catalytic zone.

EFFECT: increase in the output of the target product without deterioration in the quality thereof.
