SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol generating product, a method for the manufacture of shell material, and shell material. The aerosol generating product includes aerosol generating material, which, when used in accordance with the intended purpose, is heated to release aerosol, but is not burnt, and shell material. Shell material has a thickness of at least 50 mcm and no more than 350 mcm, weight per area unit of at least 60 g/m² and no more than 200 g/m², specific density of at least 500 kg/m³ and no more than 1300 kg/m³, and bending stiffness of at least 0.15 N·mm and no more than 1.50 N·mm. In addition, shell material includes at least two layers, wherein layers are connected to each other, and at least one of the specified layers is a paper layer, which has a thickness of at least 40 mcm and no more than 70 mcm, specific weight of at least 50 g/m² and no more than 80 g/m², and specific density of at least 700 kg/m³ and no more than 1300 kg/m³, and its specific density is higher than specific density of each separate layer of the other layers of shell material.

EFFECT: high bending stiffness of shell material is provided, which allows for limitation of deformation of an aerosol generating product.
