METHOD OF LASER PHASE EQUALISING USING AN ADAPTIVE MIRROR Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G02B26/06

Abstract RU 2781859 C1

FIELD: lasers.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of laser and adaptive optical systems. In the method, the laser wavefront is controlled by a stochastic parallel gradient (SPG) algorithm; control voltages are applied to the actuators of the adaptive mirror in an iterative mode in two stages; at the trial stage, control voltages are applied to the actuators of the mirror, then the change in the signal from the photo camera relative to the value before applying the control voltages at the trial stage is measured; control voltages are then applied at the equalising stage, wherein the values of the control voltages on the actuators of the mirror at the equalising stage are determined based on the SPG algorithm in accordance with the proportional values thereof relative to the adaptive parameter controlling the convergence rate, the change in the signal from the photo camera at the trial stage, and the control voltages applied to the actuators at the trial stage; the adaptive parameter controlling the convergence rate is inversely proportional to the value of the signal from the photo camera at the trial stage with a coefficient inversely proportional to the square of the amplitude of the voltages applied to the actuators of the adaptive mirror at the trial stage.

EFFECT: laser radiation of a predetermined quality under conditions of a weak signal.
