FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of space technology, namely to the shell of a manned spacecraft designed to protect the crew from the factors of outer space. The multilayer flexible inflatable shell, designed to protect the crew from the factors of outer space, consists of screen-vacuum thermal insulation, layers of micrometeoroid protection in the form of protective anti-meteoroid plates and internal vertical plates with shape-generating layers integrated into it. The shape generating layers are a set of thin-walled film cylinders, a sealing layer and film-cable structures for connecting a flexible shell with elements of a rigid spacecraft structure. Compressed gas is fed into the film cylinders, which, inflating and resting against neighboring cylinders, expand their layers and the entire flexible shell from the folded state into the working form.
EFFECT: strength and rigidity of the spacecraft structure with a flexible shell is ensured.
