FIELD: space.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of spacecraft from high-speed particles of natural or man-made type. Protective screen is made from composite material in form of elastic polymer binder with embedded particles of at least one heavy metal powder. Density of metal is not less than 6,000 kg/m3, and size of particles ranges from 5 to 500 mcm, wherein weight content of powder in composite is 0.4-0.9.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is improved efficiency of protection of mainly transformable objects which can be deployed in space.
