FIELD: medicine; pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: first invention of the group is extruded and spheronized pellets for the application of one or more layers of a shell for targeted cholestyramine delivery to the colon. Each extruded and spheronized pellet includes at least 70% wt./wt. of cholestyramine and one of options of a combination of an astringent, acrylate copolymer, and optionally microcrystalline cellulose, where the astringent includes cellulose ester or a combination of cellulose ester and polymer based on vinylpyrrolidone. The second invention is a system for drug delivery from separate particles, including a set of the specified cholestyramine pellets covered with one or more shell layers, which postpone the release of cholestyramine till reaching the colon. The third invention is an oral composition for targeted cholestyramine delivery to the colon, including a set of the specified pellets and a shell for the release in the colon.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides for a solution to a technical task for obtaining dosage forms, which have high cholestyramine content and are stable during the process of covering with a shell.
