FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production and preparation of feed coal intended for producing metallurgical coke, namely, to methods for changing the properties of coal concentrates, and can be applied in the processing of coking coals. Method for changing the properties of coal concentrates involves the stage of wetting the coal concentrates with a solution of orthophosphoric acid, wherein the concentration of the solution is from 1 to 30% and is selected depending on the qualities of the coal concentrate being processed.
EFFECT: creation of a more universal and simple method for changing the properties of coal concentrates by wetting the coal concentrates with a solution of orthophosphoric acid.
