FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coke-chemical industry and can be used for selection of coal mixture for coking. For coal concentrates, individual coking is performed in laboratory conditions. Main property, defined in obtained coke samples, is "hot" CSR strength. Mixture is formed based on obtained data on “hot” strength of coke, obtained from separate coal concentrates. When forming mixture, need for blast-furnace treatment in a given range of strength characteristics of metallurgical coke is taken into account. Values of theoretical and production properties are calculated through reduction factors based on linear relationships. Ratio of components of mixture is corrected depending on difference between given and design characteristics of hot CSR strength.
EFFECT: invention enables to select best ratio of coking and optimise mixture to obtain specified value of hot CSR strength of coke for blast-furnace process.
