FIELD: fiber-optic equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for introduction of laser radiation into a lightguide and device are proposed, according to which, using a lens located in front of the lightguide, a diameter of laser radiation is decreased, and then in is introduced into the light guide. The method differs in that a laser beam is divided into equal parts with glass plates installed along the course of laser beam distribution and a mirror installed after all glass plates. Next, each part is introduced into a block of gradient rod lenses, a number of blocks of rod lenses is equal to a number of parts, into which the laser beam is divided. Each gradient lens of each block is connected to one of inputs of Y-brancher, and outputs of all Y-branchers of each block are next combined into one intermediate lightguide, and next, all outputs of all intermediate lightguides are combined into one connected to the lightguide transmitting all laser radiation. A diameter of the laser beam and a diameter of the rod lens block are selected equal.

EFFECT: increase in the reliability of introduction of powerful multimode pulse laser radiation into a lightguide.
