FIELD: fibre-optic technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in various fibre-optic systems using incoherent radiation sources, including introscopes, remote power sources based on light guides. The claimed device for inputting incoherent radiation from source into a light guide contains an elliptical mirror installed sequentially on one optical axis and optically connected, in the rear focus of which there is a source of incoherent optical radiation, and in the front focus a glass plate with a significant dependence of the refractive index on temperature is installed close to each other to ensure self-focusing of the light beam. A diverging lens, a light filter, and a diaphragm are also introduced into it, and the diverging lens is installed in the front focus of the elliptical mirror so that the radiation from the source of incoherent optical radiation, concentrated by the elliptical mirror and the diverging lens, comes out of it in the form of a quasi-parallel beam. Behind the diverging lens, a light filter and a diaphragm are located in succession, followed by a glass plate, a gradient rod lens and a light guide located in succession close to each other. Moreover, the diaphragm has a maximum transmission in the centre and smoothly drops to zero towards the edges.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of radiation input into the optical fibre from an incoherent source with a given spectral region.
