FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of simulating objects with areas of heated surfaces, e.g., gas exhaust manifolds of machinery, from means of destruction with heat self-homing heads. Automatic heat target simulator comprises a launching unit and an emitter (2) with a thermal energy source (3). The simulator is equipped with additional emitters, each in the form of a heat target designed as a single closed piece (5) consisting of a body (6) shaped as a plate and a body cover (7), both in a concave-convex streamlined disk shape; an opening mechanism consisting of a support (8) with a pin secured thereto (9); two telescopically installed sleeves, the inner one (10) secured to the central lower part of the body (6), with two spring pushers (11) and four through holes (12), and the outer one (13) secured to the body cover (7), with spring fasteners (14) and through holes (15) coaxial to the holes (12) of the inner sleeve (10); an opening spring (16) installed between the bottom of the body (6) and the rim of the outer sleeve (17); four deployment mechanisms installed at the edges of the upper part of the body at 90°, consisting of rods (18) rigidly fixed on the axles (19) with springs (20), configured to rotate in the horizontal plane by 180°; a re-emitter (21) secured to the body cover (7) along the entire inner perimeter at one side, and to the rods (18) at the other side. The thermal energy source (3) consists of a disposable battery; a socket with a spring for the installation thereof, located in the body cover (7); a circuit-breaker (24) in the form of a dielectric plate, installed on the pole terminal of the socket and secured by means of a cable to the inner surface of the plate body; an electric igniter closed to the socket with the wires; a toroidal primary heat source with an installation site for the electric igniter, installed around the opening spring (16) and connected in series with the secondary heat source located in a circular channel (31) on the inner surface of the plate body. Both sources are represented by a compressed mixture of combustible substances of a pyrotechnic composition. The launching unit is represented by a throwing machine with a control panel, containing a support; a body hinged thereto; an electricity source; an electric engine with a control system and a throwing disk secured to the shaft thereof with a spiral acceleration channel capable to ensure the stability of emitters in flight; and a hopper secured thereto, in the form of a rectangular pipe with an outlet at one end and a hatch at the opposite end thereof, with an automatic supply mechanism installed therein in the form of a closed rubber-fabric belt with a corrugated surface, partitions and sides positioned so as to allow for the emitters to be laid vertically on the edge between the partitions of the belt; the belt passes around the end drums, one of said drums being driven and connected to an electric drive, the other one being a tension drum.
EFFECT: enhanced operating characteristics of the heat target simulator due to the automatic installation and deployment, and simulated characteristics being as close as possible to the thermal background of the real equipment.
