FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and equipment for the activation and deactivation of each communication line in a next generation mobile communication system. According to the proposed method, a first information for configuring a set bandwidth parts (BWP) for at least one secondary cell is received, as well as a second information on a dormant BWP. A BWP from the configured set of BWPs is activated based on the first message. A third information is received, indicating the switching of the BWP to the dormant BWP from the set of BWPs, and the BWP is switched to the dormant BWP. When the fourth information indicating the commutation of the dormant BWP to a non-dormant BWP from the set of BWPs is received, the dormant BWP is switched to a non-dormant BWP. The dormant BWP herein constitutes a BWP wherein the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) is not tracked, and the channel characteristics are measured by means of a terminal.

EFFECT: possibility of quick activation of carrier aggregation for the purpose of reducing power consumption.
