FIELD: agricultural products storage.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the storage of agricultural products, in particular to the storage of sugar beets in piles. The device contains a sublimator, an air intake, a mixer, which is connected to a pressure manifold and pipes of different lengths. The sugar beet heap is located on the site, in the surface layer of which exhaust pipes of various lengths are laid, connected through a collector to an exhaust fan. The clamp is covered with an airtight material, on top of which a heat-insulating material is placed. According to this method, sublimated carbon dioxide is mixed with outside air, the resulting mixture is brought to a predetermined temperature and to a predetermined pressure, then it is injected into the upper part of the pile. At the same time, a vacuum is created in the lower part of the pile, thereby causing the cold air mixture to move from top to bottom of the pile, cooling the sugar beet to a predetermined temperature, upon reaching which the cooling process is stopped. When the next thaw approaches, the sugar beet cooling process is resumed.

EFFECT: preventing thawing of sugar beets during storage.
